Worship is...

Worship is our response, both personal and corporate, to God, for who He is and what He has done, expressed in and by the things we say and the way we live.

Savior King Intro Video

This video was created to intro the song Savior King during our Easter services.

We made this on a black curtain with a Sony HDV-CAM. Here is the Script if you would like to make our own

I will praise You, Lord, with all my heart
I will tell of how amazing You are
You are the everlasting God
the Creator of all the earth
You never grow tired or weary
No one can measure the depths of Your understanding
You give power to the weak
Strength to the powerless
Justice to the oppressed
Sight to the blind
and food to the hungry
You free those who are captive
Lift up those who are weighed down
Heal the brokenhearted
Bandage the wounded
and rescue the helpless
You forgive all our sins
and heal our diseases
You are merciful and compassionate
Slow to get angry
and filled with unfailing love
You fill our lives with good things
So, I Praise You
I am moved by You
I Thank You
I Love You
I worship You
I will praise You, Lord, with all my heart
I will tell of how amazing You are

Psalm 145 and 147

A few Sundays ago we read this in our services.  It is a compilation of Psalms 145 and 147 I put together to intro the song, "Healer," by PlanetShakers.

The Lord is merciful and compassionate,

    slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

The Lord is good to everyone.

      He showers compassion on all his creation.

All of your works will thank you, Lord,

      and your faithful followers will praise you.

The Lord always keeps his promises;

      he is gracious in all he does.

The Lord helps the fallen

      and lifts those bent beneath their loads.

The eyes of all look to you in hope;

      you give them their food as they need it.

When you open your hand, you satisfy the

      hunger and thirst of every living thing.

The Lord is righteous in everything he does;

      he is filled with kindness.

The Lord is close to all who call on him,

      yes, to all who call on him in truth.

He heals the brokenhearted

      and bandages their wounds.

He grants the desires of those who fear him;

      he hears their cries for help and rescues them.

How good to sing praises to our God.

      How delightful and how fitting.

Freedom...

Oh freedom...does it sometimes seem so out of reach?  If you are like me, then when you hear about "freedom in Christ" you get confused.  Mainly because I have always thought that it meant freedom from hardship...pain...suffering...bad things happening to good people.  You know...if you follow Jesus then He will protect you from anything bad happening to you.  But we know that is not true.  Why?  Because death still happens, bankruptcy still looms, illness infiltrates our lives and I could go on.  So what is all this "freedom" about?  If life is not perfect, how can we live and experience this freedom?  Well since we are all agreeing that trouble comes our way, I believe freedom comes in how we exist through those moments.  In Christ, we are FREE from hopelessness, FREE from shame, FREE from loneliness, FREE from fear, FREE from so much!  Yes we will struggle in our relationships but their does not have to be hopelessness (Psalm 32:8Psalm 119:114)...we will face situations that should frighten our pants off but we don't have to be afraid (Psalm 27:1)...sure you messed up again and again but then One who you offended the most forgives you (1 John 1:9). So take heart.  Know that NOW...in good or bad...turmoil or peace...pain or pleasure...in this moment you can be free.  Life is short and God has SO much for us.  He does not want you to live life captive.  It all comes down to faith.  Rely in Christ our freedom.
